Vintage rugby jerseys are going extinct....

We love old, cotton, rugged, used and abused, niche and perfectly mint rugby jerseys. The iconic super rugby ones, the top 14 ones, the URC ones, the international ones and the more unexpected ones, but they are getting older and older. And they are becoming extinct. Old vintage rugby jerseys are a finite source. Reselling is fun, but making new ones is better. </p><p>But they don't make them like they used to. Unfortunately 100% cotton, heavy duty rugby jerseys with the right details are not common. If you are a lover rugby jerseys you will appreciate the right details. So after a long time of collecting many rugby jerseys we saw what we needed:
  • A classic 1 button collar
  • 100% cotton heavy material
  • striped designs
So we reintroduced jerseys that follow these characteristiscs, but we want people to be able design their own rugby jerseys ideally. There are however a few problems with most designers. They only allow you to pick a design and change it's colours. That's why we engineered a designer that lets you change the stripes yourelf, so that you can make new vintage inspired rugby jerseys, so you can hend them down to your son.


Bringing back temex

Creating 100% cotton sportswear

At one point in the rugby world a company called canterbury invented a material that allowed cotton to be woven in such  way that it wasn't bound to the horizontal lines they used to be. These jersey also proved to be good when sweating, comfortable and incredibly durable. Unfortunately, before it ever got the change to take off polyester became the material of choice for this company. </p><p>But now we had found out what the effects of polyester are we are in dire need of a fully organic sportswear t-shirt. That is what we are bringing back. With our 100% cotton rugby jersey.</p>",

Our DNA

So, our brand started out of the necessity of not letting old style rugby jersey fall out of use and finding an organic alternative for sportswear. But how did we come about this? Based in the Netherlands, where rugby is not a huge sport a few rugby jersey collectors came together to create something new. With backgrounds in web development, marketing and clothing brands they wanted to use new available technologies to create what they always wanted. The idea for the rugby jersey designer was drawn out many years ago, but no developer was able to build it. Only with new available technologies was it possbile for us to make it ourselves.

What about the temex? At first we hoped it was even possible to reintroduce temex. We had to scour all corners of the world to find machines that would be able to make something like that. It wasn't easy, but we managed. And in the end we love the result we bring. Rugby remains in our DNA, but we hope that with this innovative materials it can cross borders and reach anyone who seeks a 100% organic alternative to sportswear.
