How to make country rugby jumpers

country rugby jumpers

You want a rugby jumper representing your country or just any of the iconic rugby nations. Think about the iconic wallabies jersey of the 90’s, the springboks, Italy, Japan, whatever. You can pick, choose or even redesign them yourself on rugbycottons.com. And not just that. The design you chose or made can be ordered and delivered right at your doorstep.

You are probably used to so called custom configurators and other rugby jumper designers. They are often a premade template and then you get to change a few colours, but we feel that does not do the rugby community’s creativity justice. Creativity usually arises because of a limitation. And with rugby jumpers that was no different. All of the rugby jerseys back in the days used to be made fully out of cotton. However, the limitation of cotton was that is was not possible to weave its different coloured threads into crazy patterns. The only way you could weave it was in horizontal stripes. That’s why rugby jerseys since the beginning have been playing around with unique striped designs and up until this day many teams cherish that heritage.

Custom rugby tops of you choice

To let everyone play around with the possibilities of rugby jerseys we decided to do something different than the standard rugby jersey custom configurators. We decided to make a designer where you can select and drag all the stripes to make whatever jersey you want. And when you think of countries, Japan's red and white hooped jersey comes to mind for instance. Well with our designer you can make that design. And if your club happens to resemble that japan jersey you can order the design with your logo onto it. If your club has different colours you can just change it to whatever you want and in the end order it for yourself.

See, the possibilities are endless. That’s why the users have already designed many different jerseys and uploaded them to the gallery.

Custom rugby union jerseys

Many of the users of the Rugby Cottons designer have made iconic jerseys found in the rugby union world. Think of many of the countries you see in every world cup such as the Wallabies, the red and green from Wales, Italy’s Azzuro, the red and white hoops from Japan and the springboks as an example.

Besides countries there are many lovely club jerseys that fans still talk about. Think about the Bath 2000 European Jersey, or the Bath 2001 home shirt. The old London Wasps jersey and many other rugby union clubs can be found. But it’s not just professional clubs. Every club can be made and some people also simply make the jerseys from their own local club.

Custom rugby league jerseys

Also many league jerseys are being made. Our designer is not code specific. It is for all rugby jerseys. Rugby league obviously also has its own history with jerseys and they have their own peculiarities. For instance they used to have more of a deeper v-cut collar. And the sleeves also used to be more like 3/4th. In our physical products we are keeping the classic rugby collar, but the 3/4th sleeve is something we are looking at introducing as an option.

So people have rebuilt many jerseys such as the famous canberra raiders retro jersey. The Queensland Maroons retro jersey or the vintage nsw blues jersey. Some of the most iconic league jerseys to date and the list is only getting longer.

Custom rugby kit designer

So our kit designer was made out of the lack of tools that make it possible to play with rugby jersey designs. And it allows you in turn to order all of these jerseys for yourself. The tool was produced by ourself, coded from scratch, which means that every month the tool is getting better and every month the community tells us if there are tweaks or new features they want us to implement. And we make them. Therefore Rugby Cottons is exactly what the rugby world has always wanted. And in turn, the shirts the custom kit designer produces have unique features.

We made sure to let the shirts have the striped designs in the cotton weave. Then as an addition you can order embroidered logos on it. The position of the logos is everywhere on the jersey. Even on the collar. The production time is around 10 weeks so keep around 12 weeks in mind for the total process. And in the end the jerseys will just be laying on your doorstep. Nowhere else will you see such a plethora of features in such a community driven rugby environment.
